1. As I read the text book about values for Business Ethics what stood out to me was Professional Code of Ethics. Code of Ethics is very important policy to have in today's business. Companies or even small businesses, code of ethics helps the employees and the company in line with each other. Reading about professional code of ethics mean the ethical benchmark for investment professional, around the globe, regardless of job title, cultural differences or local laws. The points I want to mention about professional code of ethic is honesty, responsibility, fairness, respect, openness, and citizenship.

2. Often times emotions can get the better of people during disputes. If we can just look at the facts and seek a solution that will work for both sides wouldn't that be better than filing a lawsuit?

3. Employers need to keep their fingers on the pulse of what is going on. Managers need to be properly trained and they need to be accessible and proactive with those they manage. This can go a long way in avoiding legal problems.

4. Laws are made by politicians, the members of Congress and the President. What is unfortunate is that it costs so much money to run for office. This prevents a lot of very capable and qualified people from running for office. On top of that, the media seems to dig into every nook and cranny of a potential candidate's life. Many do not feel that this type of invasion or attack is work it. So, again, capable and qualified people choose to not run for office. Isn't this a major problem?
