Question

This client presents with symptoms of Parkinson's that interfere with his daily life, but he does not want medications with severe motor side effects. Considering his younger age, the early stage of his disease, and his preference to avoid the more pronounced side effects of other treatments, he is started on an MAO-B inhibitor to help manage his symptoms with a lower risk of inducing severe motor complications. This approach is intended to gently mitigate his symptoms while preserving his cognitive function and minimizing the risk of dyskinesias as he continues his demanding professional work and that's why Selegiline is an appropriate choice
