The client is a 49-year-old Caucasian man who has been prescribed paroxetine/paxil 25mg/day for major depressive disorder.

How would I educate the client about the medication's effectiveness and lack of efficacy. Efficacy is the knowledge of the medicines' achievable response and capacity for beneficial change and symptom relief. Additionally, the correct regimen prescribed is often contingent upon to the client's diagnosis, on-going assessment and collaboration with the prescriber.
