Reviewing the patient's charts will allow for analyzation of medication adherence rates pre-and post-intervention. This will allow for the tracking of medication adherence metrics. Additionally, we can consider the use of a validated tool such as the Morisky Medication Adherence Scale (MMAS). This tool can be extremely beneficial for collecting and evaluating data for this project as it has been extensively validated in various populations and is known for their reliability in measuring adherence (De las Cuevas & Peñate, 2024). How will you collect the data from the EHR? Will this be subjectively reported by the patient in the chart? Will you review which medications were filled by the pharmacy? or will you have the Morisky Medical Adherence scale integrated into the EHR for medical assistances to complete on followup?
