She began experiencing cardiac symptoms such as chest pain and shortness of breath. An EKG showed abnormalities and her troponin levels were elevated, indicationg a MI. A cardiac catheterization was performed to investigate and address the cardiac issues. After the procedure, she was brought back to the medical-surgical unit. Upon assessment, severe bleeding from cath site noted and she is experiencing hypotension, which are potential complications of the cardiac catheterization. Pressure was applied to control bleeding.Her blood pressure was 83/39, temperature 37 C, heart rate 130, respiration rate 24, and oxygen saturation level 94%.
