Suppose that students in Year 11 (who are 15-16 years old) attending a High School in Perth are asked to conduct a survey to study Australian teenagers' (that is, 13-19 years) perceptions of climate change. The Year 11 students are required to interview only their classmates to design the questionnaire for their survey.

Is this an effective way to measure Australian teenagers' perceptions of climate change? Are there any shortcomings to this approach? Briefly explain your answer.
