In the spring of 2013, one of Canada's most dreadful flood disaster hit southern Alberta that destroyed many communities including Calgary, Banff, and Canmore. The flood claimed five people's life and many fled their homes. The cost of damage was estimated to be $6 billion dollars.

Assume that after few months of the disaster you were contacted by local coffee shops in Banff. They were not certain about whether they should start operating businesses now and if they do, they would also want to know what business strategies they should be taking in the aftermath of the disaster. As a researcher, you will have to plan your research design and pertaining to that design answer the following questions in the box provided below:

1. If you decide to apply phenomenology as your research approach, how do you conduct your research?

2. Decision statement or a key question for the research you will carry out.

3. Set two hypotheses that Britton will be testing. Make sure that you use the measurable variables in setting up hypotheses which can be empirically tested and they should be either of association, difference and impact hypotheses.
