Description of the assessment -

1. Background - This assignment seeks to motivate student to define project scope, problem statement and literature review.

2. Requirements - Students are expected to submit on Moodle a detailed report of the chosen project. In this stage, student uses the information gathered from the literature review to propose their chosen researched topic. The purpose of this assessment is to assess student's plan and propose the clear statement of the problem for the research topic and report on:

1. Abstract

2. Introduction

3. Project scope and goals

4. A clear statement of the problem to be addressed

5. Expected significance of the project results

6. A review of relevant literature to establish the need for and the originality of the proposed project;

7. References.
