Purpose of the assignment

This assignment focuses on the impact of COVID -19 pandemic on the financial markets in the GCC region. The aim of this assignment is to assess students' understanding in analyzing the performance of the financial markets; exploring the impact of the health crisis on the financial markets and the role of the global vaccine rollout in recovering the global economy. This assignment is a group work and aims to assess the students' conceptual, analytical, critical thinkingand team work skills.

Question
Choose one country from the GCC region and write an analytical report of at least 1500 words double-spaced on the impact of COVID-19 on the financial markets and the overall economy of the country. Your report should at least address the following issues:
- Assess the impact of the pandemic on the financial markets. Analyze the price data on the stock and bond markets.
- Compare the performance of the financial markets before and during the Covid-19 pandemic.
- Discuss the impact of the Covid-19 vaccine roll-out on the financial market performance. Support your discussion using the financial market data since the first vaccine is announced.
