A liquid drug, with density and viscosity slightly greater than that of water (Ï = 1100 kg/m3 , μ = 1.2 x 10-3 kg/m-s), must be administered through a hypodermic needle. The inside diameter of the needle is 0.15 mm, and its length is 30 mm. Determine: a. The maximum volume flow rate for which the flow will be laminar b. The pressure drop required to deliver the maximum flow rate c. The corresponding wall shear stress.
