-A manufacturing company produces 3 different types of brick including concrete brick, sand brick and clay brick. Considering the construction market situation, the management of the company decided to sell every unit of concrete, sand and clay brick at the price of $4.2, $2.5 and $2.1, respectively. The objective is to maximise the profit. The process of brick production includes 3 main processes of moulding, heating and curing. Considering the moulding machine concrete bricks need 15 minutes to be moulded. Sand and clay bricks need 12 and 9 minutes to be moulded, respectively. The maximum availability of the moulding machine is 32000 minutes. Considering the heating process, concrete, sand and clay bricks need 28, 17 and 21 minutes, respectively, to be processed. The heating machine is available for a maximum of 50,000 minutes. Considering the curing process concrete, sand and clay bricks need 20, 15 and 11 minutes to be processed. The availability of curing machine is 42000 minutes. The company management team specified that the ratio of produced sand bricks to clay bricks should be at least 0.2. The management also specified that at least 100 concrete bricks should be produced to meet the old partner's demand. Finally, the ratio of produced clay bricks to concrete bricks cannot be less than 0.5.
-Develop the mathematical formulation for linear programming associated with this problem. Assume we can produce fractions of a brick. For example, producing 0.3 brick is possible.
-Solve the developed mathematical model with the Excel Solver and interpret the results.
-Considering the output of the sensitivity analysis what will happen if the company management team can increase maximum heating time from 50,000 to 62,000 minutes?
-Considering the output of the sensitivity analysis what will happen if the available time in the moulding machine is decreased from 32,000 to 28,000 minutes?
