Project synopsis: This project allows you to apply the marketing research techniques you have studied. You will present information and market insight relevant to your fashion brand. You are specifically looking for opportunity and market gaps to develop and market the selected brand. Project/Assessment requirements: You are required to research one up and coming designer (listed in assessment task below). You need to understand the design philosophy that underpins the brand. With that understanding you are then required to scan the market and build market intelligence (competitor analysis, retail marketplace analysis and opportunity, target market data and consumer insight). You will present this information in a report inclusive of relevant illustrations, diagrams and photography. The style of presentation should have a brand relevant aesthetic and the information and presented data should be ordered as a professional business report fully referenced. (2500 words) You are not looking at specific marketing campaign concepts for this brand but you are gathering detailed research on the market environment and identifying opportunities.
