Students are to complete a detailed marketing plan for a real or proposed business (or non-profit) using the following outline. Ø 1) Executive summary Ø 2) The current marketing situation Ø 3) The marketing opportunity Ø 4) The business model Ø 5) Specific and measurable marketing objectives Ø 6) Marketing strategy with identified target markets, intended positioning, and detailed marketing mix Ø 7) Operations, production, and supply Ø 8) The marketing team Ø 9) Evaluation and control mechanisms The marketing plan should be well-organized and well-written using the prescribed format above. Students should also avoid spelling and grammatical errors. The marketing plan assignment is the major project for the course and students are strongly advised to begin early as this can be a very time consuming project.
