One of the most common home remodeling jobs involves the kitchen. In almost every house, this room is heavily used and often needs to be expanded to accommodate personal tastes. Three buildingsupply stores were selected, and a random sample of individuals purchasing kitchen countertops was obtained from each. The type of countertop was recorded for each person, and the data are summarized in the following two-way frequency table (Home Depot, HD; Lowe's, LO; TrueValue, TV).
