Pick and research a cult that was based in the United States responsible for a crime. You will describe the cult, their beliefs, ideas, members, length of operation and what crime they committed. Apple iPhones have been extremely successful over the years for their marketing and advertising campaigns. Think about some of the other ads that you have seen recently. Pick 3 different ads, locate a peer reviewed article for at least one of the ads or products that is being advertised. Summarize the research article looking at what is being studied, the results, and what techniques of persuasion were used. Then you will analyze each of the three ads and answer the following: Were the ads effective in matching the communicator? the message? and the message recipient? What techniques of persuasion were used? Did the ads change your behavior or attitude (did you feel negative/positive emotions). Did these ads lead to any social unrest or impact to the population?
