Discussion is about the issue of cleaning a gun through varies theories, and methods, discussing why many malfunctions and issues stem from lack of proper gun care. I will be breaking this down to one error in that link, which would be TRAINING! Ask yourself one question, why is it that although rare military and LEO professionals do not run into many gun malfunctions? It's because they are trained a standard of cleaning and maintenance. I know I'm not military, but I believe they are trained to pass the dreaded white glove test and are taught how to properly and fully clean a firearm. I am, however, a LEO professional and we do not hold as high a standard as military but part of nomenclature of our firearms we are taught a standard way to break down our firearms and clean them to a standard. So if there is a correlation between maintenance and cleaning equal to the issues of malfunctions and failures, I feel as it is 2 reasons: number 1 you're a liar, or number 2 you simply have not been trained or showed a standard of cleaning or chose not to uphold the standard every time you clean your firearm, and in closing just remember consistency equals results.
