Captain Atom has a unique energy source: his own body.  As his atoms split (and somehow reform), he can manipulate this released energy in various ways.  Now, just how much energy could such an individual generate through fission?  And how is it that he doesn't explode like an atomic bomb?  Make whatever assumptions you need in your discussion response.
