Managing Front Office Operations

Hotel Marianna is a 500-room distinguished four-star property. The General Manager prides himself on offering exceptional personalized customer service. The manager has instituted a 35 ratio of guest to Bell person and minimum waiting time per guest at the front desk with a standard.

The Front Office manager has reviewed the projected occupancy forecast and has noted the following:

March 4	300	200	3 weddings
March 5	150	250	2 large conferences
March 6	350 arrivals	180	2 large conferences

Calculate the following. 

1. The number of front desk agents needed for each shift for the three days. 
2. The number of uniformed staff required for the three days.
3. Discuss three factors you took into consideration in determining the staffing required in 1 and 2.
