Question 1: Google has admitted to collecting data sent over unsecured Wifi networks mistakenly, using its street view cars. Google photographs homes from public street, using a fleet of company cars. Google said it was trying to gather information about the location, strength and configuration of Wifi networks so it could improve the accuracy of location-based services such as Google Maps and driving directions.However, the process, the cars were also collecting snippets of emails and other internet activity from unprotected wireless network in the homes. Google blamed this on a programming errors,temporary halted the street view data collection and announced it would stop collecting all Wi Fi data. Do you believe this was a mistake by google? Write about the different types available of wireless network categories (LAN, WAN and PAN) in relation to google case and how people could protect their privacy network in the future.

Question 2. Hello Inc. is a large concierge for executives operating in Chicago. The company perform all kind of services from dog walking to airport transportation. Your manger, Dan Martello, wants to skip the testing phase during the company financial ERP implementation. He feels that because the system came from a vendor, it should work correctly. Draft a one-two pages report explaining the importance of the following SDLC(system development life cycle) and the consequences to the business if the financial system is not tested.

Question 3. Noora is interested in applying for a job at a large software vendor. one of the criteria for the job is a detailed understanding of strategic initiatives such as SCM,CRM and ERP. Noora has no knowledge of any of these initiatives and cannot even explain what the acronyms mean. Noora has come to you for help. She would like you to compile a summary(1-2) page report of the three initiatives including, introduction about the three systems, advantages and an analysis of how the three are similar and how they are different.

Question 4. You are working on the sales team for a small catering company that maintain 75 employees and you generate 1 million RO in revenue per year. The owner, Ms.Nawal wants to understand how she can use decision support systems to help grow her business. Ms.Nawal has an initial understanding of TPS, DSS and EIS, systems and interested in learning more about what types are available , how they can be used in a small business and the cost associated with different system . Draft a summary (1-2) page report of the three initiatives and at which level should be used.

Question 5. You are the chief executive officer for a startup telecommunication company. the company currently has 50 employees and plans to ramp up to 3000 by end of the year. Your first task to determine how you are going to model your organization. You decide to address MIS department organizational structure first. You need to consider if you want to have a CIO, CPO, CSO, CTO, and CKO and if so , what their reporting structure will look like and why . You also need to determine the different roles and responsibilities for each executive position. Once you have compiled this information, put together a one page describing your MIS department and its organizational structure.
