Management Accounting Assignment -
Otley (1999) contended that organisations, in order to improve their performance, should consider five important issues: the key objectives for the organisation; the strategies and plans to achieve these objectives; the definition of specific targets linked to these objectives; the rewards that managers and employees gain by achieving these targets; the information flows that are necessary to enable the organisation to learn from its experience. Discuss the importance of management accounting tools in planning and controlling the performance of modern businesses, considering the above mentioned issues.
