Currently, most companies focus on comparing and defeating their competitors. Thus, their strategies incline to take similar what the rivals have. Therefore, valuing innovation has a significant impact on the business long term health. This analysis will explore what are creative and innovation mean and how to manage resources of innovation to assist Mr. Clean Hostel to improve services and have name recognition.
Organizational innovation is the efficient implementation of creative ideas which are new and useful products or services for the company (Cite page 111). In other words, Mr. Clean should discard changing people's perspective on hostel being a place where it only provides basic accommodation with cheap price but also the place where people can make new friends. In addition, replacing it with the idea of creating a creative and innovate experience for guests to make them feel their money spent. By creating new services for which there are no direct rivals, Mr. Clean hostel can help itself name be recognized. For example, Mr. Clean can offer options of choosing between hard or soft pillow or creating a clean, spacious and convenient kitchen for them to feel like home.
Building creative work environment is effective method to manage sources of innovation. Workplace cultures in which employees perceive that new ideas are encouraged and valued (cite page 115). Organizational, supervisory and work group are three kinds of encouragement of the creative work environment requirement. In deep, Mr. Cleans' management need to encourage risk taking and new ideas, reward and recognize creativity, and support the sharing of new ideas from every parts of the hostel. In addition, Mr. Clean should provide clear goals and encourage development teams' work and ideas like setting up the goals for every week, month, year and a long term.
Overall, it is essential for Mr. Clean to value innovation in workplace culture which helps Mr. Clean can be different from another competitors. By building creative work environment, Mr. Clean will have the abilities to control sources of innovation.
