Making the Hiring Decision

As a small business, you actually have flexibility in making decisions about how you can get extra help to perform many of the daily tasks as your small business grows. You have the option to hire part-time or full-time employees, or to outsource some daily tasks to an outside vendor.

You will officially become an "employer" as soon as you hire the first employee, regardless whether that employee works 1 hour or 40 hours per week.
