A company decides they want to create a product to solve the problem of making iced coffee efficiently without ruining it. They design a product by taking these steps:

1. Observing coffee-drinkers and talking to people who drink coffee in focus groups and interviews to find out what their coffee-drinking habits and needs are.

2. Compiling reports based on their observations/interviews, creating personas for their users, and identifying the main pain points in their users coffee routines.

3. Brainstorming as a team to come up with an initial system of concepts to solve the problem, using the insights from step 2.

4. Creating a prototype device that makes iced coffee (implementing the design from step 3).
