The defendant, as partners in the management of a bakery, owed the plaintiff the amount of P43,000. The trial court ordered each of the defendants liable for the whole amount (in solidum). Nigorra appealed this point. In the absence of any fact or law which would make the defendants solidarily liable, are they jointly or solidarily responsible?
