Mass Customization is considered a hybrid type of process. It does not fit the usual models because it is high volume, (which usually is used for standardized products) BUT each item is customized for the purchaser. It is the technology that permits this to happen. Other than the examples mentioned in the text, can you think of other products that are made using this type of process type. Have you purchased anything like this? Was it a good experience?
