Healthcare continues to make progression due to technological advances. The main one that has become more popular is the usage of telehealth, or telemedicine, as some call it. It has become increasing popular for many reasons such as the accessibility and convenience of it. When advanced techniques can provide more precise medical diagnoses than before, offer quicker and more complete cures than previously available, or reduce risks in a cost-effective manner, the result is improved quality (Shi and Singh, 2019). Convenience: Telehealth is very convenient, by allowing patients to receive medical care from the comfort of their homes, especially for the geriatric population who may limited mobility. Telehealth is user-friendly for those who do not consider themselves computer savvy. Most locations operate through apps such as MyChart. It also allows individuals to save time and money by eliminating travel to physician's offices who may not be in the vicinity. Rural populations, in particular, face various types of barriers to access of quality health care. These barriers, such as a shortage of providers, long travel distances, physical and social isolation, and weather-related difficulties, can be overcome with appropriate telehealth services (Shi & Singh, 2019).
