Problem: Many factors can negatively affect a student's performance on a test (e.g., medications, illness, fatigue, mood, hunger, not wearing needed glasses and/or hearing aids, etc.). In an effort to reduce factors that may adversely impact a student's standardized test results, the examiner (who administers the test) should make brief informal observations of the student and the testing environment.
