Scenario:

You are a new paraprofessional in an inclusive classroom providing one-to-one support for Megan, a child with Down syndrome, who also wears glasses due to low vision. During your first week, you become quickly frustrated as you try to make adaptations on the spot for Megan's art activities. You frequently have to walk to different areas of the classroom to find all the materials you will need, which interrupts her participation. You realize that it would be a great idea to place all the materials you'll need in the same container so you will be ready to make daily adaptations as issues arise.

Create a list of everyday materials that you will need to make adaptations specifically for Megan's art activities. Include one paragraph about your rationale for the type of container you will use and where you will keep the container for quick and easy access. You might want to refer to Figure 2.2: Everyday Materials.
