a. In keeping with the sociological imagination, what ONE global, national, or local issue are you most concerned with at this time? Think about the reports in the news of all that is happening in the world-what gets the most of your attention and why? Cite a specific current event as covered in The New York Times, The Baltimore Sun, or The Wall Street Journal.

b. Which ONE theory (Symbolic Interactionism, Structural Functionalism, Conflict Theory, Post-Modernism) do you think best explains how societies work and for which reasons did you choose this theory?

c. How would your chosen theory explain your sociological imagination issue from part a? In other words, apply the theory here by referencing specific points from that theory as they relate to your issue.
