Samantha was a high-profile female television sports reporter for major league baseball for a major television network. Devin believed she got the job based on her looks and resented the fact she had never played the game, so he felt she had no right to the job. He plotted to destroy her. First, Devin spied on Samantha through the peep hole of her hotel room, and found out she was having an extramarital affair with a high-profile baseball player she was covering. He published this "news" on his blog, and wrote that Samantha was just another "baseball hooker" which generated numerous snide comments posted to the blog. This destroyed her marriage. Devin followed up with an article on his blog describing Samantha as a "brainless broad with no business in baseball." In fact, Samantha had a degree in journalism from the University of Southern California, and she had worked her way up to her present position over a period of 8 years, first working as a sports reporter for local news before she got the national position.
