If I were made aware of such behavior allegedly taking place, I would immediately report it to the building principal and guidance counselor, and they would take the appropriate administrative action to determine the need for an investigation of the allegations. I would continue to give my lesson that day as planned, being vigilant in monitoring the overall energy and atmosphere of the room, especially between those two students. I would watch for any indication that the issue was impacting the learning environment in a negative way, paying particular attention to the students potentially involved. After due process procedures were carried out and it proved to be a true allegation with discipline required, I do think it would warrant a conversation in class about respect for others and responsible online behavior. You would want to have this conversation in a way that did not reference those involved in the specific incident but was more general in speaking about online and social media responsibility.
