HR GENERALIST

The HR Generalist will assist in running the daily functions of the HR team including new hire onboarding, benefits and data administration, performance management, offboarding, company policies and practices across the game teams and studios. 

In this role you will: 

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement the entire new hire onboarding process, including new hire set up, orientation, and check ins.
  • Maintaining records of personnel-related data and ensuring all employment requirements are met.
  • Liaising with other departments such as Payroll and Operations.
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, provincial or US federal and state regulations, and policies.
  • Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute HR programs including but not limited to; benefits, leaves, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, recognition, morale, occupational health and safety, and training and development.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Contribute to conversations outside of HR, and radiate our values in a way that makes the business more effective.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from client groups, referring complex and / or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR team member.
  • Perform other HR related duties as assigned.

Requirements :

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. 
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. 
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems. 
  • Previous knowledge of BambooHR is a plus.
  • Creative thinking skills, you can demonstrate your critical thinking skills to modernize our HR practices. 
  • At least two years of human resource management in a startup, technology and / or creative environment experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  •  CHRP, SHRM or PHR is a plus. 
  • Comfortable utilizing Excel and / or Google Sheets functions for reporting and data analysis (preferred).
