"When a Man Loves a Woman" is a film that explores the struggles of a woman, Alice, with alcoholism and the impact it has on her family, particularly her husband, Michael. The ethical issues addressed in the film include addiction, responsibility, and the role of family in supporting a loved one thorugh recovery. My personal moral position on these issues is that addiction is a disease that requires treatment and support. Alice's struggles with alcoholism are not a moral issue, but a health issue that she needs help to overcome. It is also important for family members to take care of their own mental and emotional health, as dealing with a loved one's addiction can be incredibly stressful and draining. To maintain and have good health we must plan our daily lives. The future role of nurses is caring for patients and thus we must start by caring for ourselves. For a balanced healthy life, the plan should be followed regularly (Jones, S. H. 2005). Our nutritional life should be perfected enough that it can be easily followed. However, we must also maintain flexibility and body balance. As a nurse, you should set goals and create enough time to implement.
