The neurophysiological components of diagnosis and treatment are the main emphasis of the biomedical model of suffering. A biological approach to treating suffering might make use of painkillers like morphine. Medication therapy and psychosurgery are both used in biomedical therapies. Drug therapy involves treating suffering with any chemical; yet, these medications may have negative effects that are caused by an infection or other conditions. It could also be used to diagnose or treat them. Similar to neurochemical therapy of pain (NPT), psychosurgery is a treatment option for individuals who are resistant to conventional medications (n,d). Psychosurgery can be used to treat OCD and neuropathic agony.
