Individual Assignment: Logistics and Procurement Paper
For this activity, you will apply all of your knowledge from this course and create a comprehensive operations procurement and logistics plan for a business. You will identify, analyze, and mitigate procurement and logistics challenges for the organization and assess planning tools to prioritize and help control risks. You will identify business supply chain threats, vulnerabilities, and countermeasures; compliance laws; risk assessment, mitigation and continuity, and disaster recovery planning.
You will each create a procurement and logistics management plan for a selected manufacturing business, either a business you work for or are familiar with our have researched. The organization can be where you work or a company large enough to need procurement and logistics processes covering operations in multiple countries. Your paper should include the following:
- An overview of the selected organization.
- A description of the current program, including how procurement and logistics are identified, analyzed and mitigated in the organization.
- An assessment of planning tools that prioritize and help control risks. Then, based on what you have learned in this course, citing recommendations based on current theories, concepts, and approaches for procurement and logistics operations identifies threats, vulnerabilities, countermeasures, compliance laws and provides a risk assessment and mitigation plan for the organization.
- An examination of the strategic and tactical planning issues relevant to marketing, opportunity assessment, and external environment analysis.
- A recognition of the cultural differences and also enhance the professional and ethical standards of practice.
