Case: List the application of logistics information system (LIS) in last mile delivery that can be used by a particular group of users or a specific company. Propose new functions and systems that can be incorporated to an existing LIS systems for last mile delivery.

Seriously consider some of the following issues and questions:
- The functions to be included in the LIS; why they are important, and how they are expected to support/improve certain operations;
- The cost and benefit of implementing the LIS, key performance indicators (KPIs) that can be used to quantify such costs and benefits.
- Changes needed in order to introduce/implement/improve the LIS, such as business process, operation, enterprise systems, organizational structures, or cooperation with other stakeholders/partners (e.g. suppliers, logistics service providers, distributors and/or retailing firms).
- Data that can be captured/extracted/analyzed for knowledge discovery or operation improvements.
- New services or benefits that can be made available through the use of new technology, new process or organizational changes
- The advantage and disadvantages of adopting the (proposed) LIS in the industry or case company, how would this affect the company's business strategy and market competition.
- Prospects of future changes and developments.
