Question - Considering the scenario - It is July 8th, 4:45 am and the Rogers network has suddenly gone down. The internal engineering team is in a panic and the customer service agents are getting overwhelmed. As the CS Project Lead, you now have to activate a crisis communication plan. Problems being faced are:
1. Customers that can call in are doing so and complaining
2. Staff members without access are not able to arrive at the office or connect remotely
3. Social media is getting filled with massive amount of complaint.
As part of this assignment, you must prepare the following:
Prepare a communications template indicating all of the key personnel within your team : you MUST list all of the roles that are responsible towards communicating during a crisis. In your template you must do the following -
1. List all the roles that are responsible to manage communications during a crisis
2. Explain why each of these roles are relevant
3. Explain why the current scenario qualifies as a unique crisis
The first meeting of the crisis communications team has begun. Explain how you will run the first meeting and subsequent meetings. Explain why your communications plan will continue even AFTER the crisis is resolved.
