Question

Martin is emploved as a security officer for Lindenwood Mall. The mall operator provides security services for its patrons in the mall shopping and in designated mall parking areas. Martin is accused of sexually assaulting Olivia, a mall patron. in an allev behind a bar located about three blocks south of the designated mall parking. Martin was on duty working security for the mall when he noticed Olivia leaving one of the restaurants in the mall. Martin thought Olivia looked intoxicated. so he followed Olivia to her car. When Martin reached Olivia at her car, he pushed her into her car and drove her car to an isolated area where he sexually assaulted her. Olivia has filed a civil lawsuit for personal injury against both Martin and Lindenwood Mall as a result or maran's assault of her.
