Question: You have a business idea that you are looking to launch in the Toronto market selling high end jewelry and gems. You have everything that you need to start the business, but don't have any customers yet. You have a limited marketing budget to start up, and plan to do your business on-line.

You decide that a segmentation strategy would be the best way to target your potential customers. As your advisor I press you to the following location:

By selecting different targets down the left side of the page, you can choose different attributes that you would like in your customers. As you choose, you will see the number of segments decrease until you have the segments that you believe would be best for your store.

Choose carefully, and report on the segments that have been returned to you as the best ones for targeting. You can add or subtract at your leisure, but your job is to come up with the selections for the result. For this assignment, report on what your selections were, the outcome and why you believe you now have an audience you can relate your business.
