Professor Archer took 2 test tubes and put phenol red in both, blew CO2 into both and the color changed to yellow, and then put a sprig of Elodea in one of them and a straw in the other one. A light was aimed at the test tubes thus photosynthesis should have been happening. Group of answer choices The Elodea consumed the CO2 performing photosynthesis which also reduced the amount of carbonic acid which in turn made the pH more acidic The Elodea consumed the CO2 performing photosynthesis which also reduced the amount of carbonic acid which in turn made the pH more basic The Elodea produced the O2 performing photosynthesis which also reduced the amount of carbonic acid which in turn made the pH more acidic The Elodea produced the O2 performing photosynthesis which also reduced the amount of carbonic acid which in turn made the pH more basic.
