Explain how the light reactions and Calvin cycle of photosynthesis are linked chemically, structurally, andfunctionally. Include in your answer the main reactants andproducts of each of the two phases of photosynthesis, and whereeach phase take place. Describe which products are necessary forthe continuation of photosynthesis, and any products consideredwaste, from the plant’s perspective. Finally, explain how thearrangement of thylakoids within an individual chloroplast and thearrangement of chloroplast within an individual plant cell enhancephotosynthetic activity.
