One of the firm's lawyers has asked you to conduct research on behalf of a client. The client is the victim of a sexual assault and did not report the event to the police. The client wants to know if she can sue the offender; and if so, what can she sue the offender for. Can she make him go to jail? Your boss asked you to prepare a memo in response to her questions. 

•Please write a memo of 2-4 pages responding to the following questions:
•Can the victim of a rape sue the offender? If so, what are the potential damages?
•Do the civil damages include the possibility of prison?
