1. Reflect on your own change experience (either personal or professional) and apply Lewin's three phases of change: unfreezing, changing (moving), and refreezing.

2. Be sure to explain your situation, using the correct terms, and clearly describe how each phase was experienced, giving a definite example.

Part II:

Scenario: You are a billing manager for a large billing and coding company. Your company is switching to a new EHR and you are beginning to hear rumors and complaints circulating amongst your staff. Many employees are complaining about the switch and some feel it may impact their jobs or eliminate their jobs.

1. Identify the three phases of Lewin's change model your employees are experiencing.

2. For each area, how might you, as the billing manager, address each area to ensure you are moving forward in a positive direction?
