The uniform sphere B, of radius r=6cm and mass mB= 5kg is rigidly attached to the uniform thin bar AB, which is pinned at A and has a mass mAB= 9 kg. The system rotates in the vertical plane. The spring CD has stiffness k= 2,000N/m and is designed so that the system is in static equilibrium when theta=0 degrees. Let L=19 cm and h=24.4 cm. If the system is released from rest when theta= -30 degrees, determine the maximum angle theta reached by the arm AB.
