For this optional extra credit, you should focus on the legal profession in the media and current events. Search (using the internet, newspapers, magazines, etc.) for a current event (within the last 3 months) in the news that an attorney (and therefore a paralegal) would be involved in. For example, if there is a current trial that interests you that is in the news, you may discuss that. You may use a civil or criminal matter. After you have found your current event, do the following:

1. Provide one paragraph describing the current event and how a paralegal might be involved in it.

2. Provide one paragraph discussing your thoughts on the current event and how it affects the legal community.
