He lives alone and can complete ADLs and some IADLs, but he has not been able to leave his home independently since his surgery. His children comment that his depressive symptoms have worsened. He is not taking any vitamins or nutritional supplements currently. -He is 5' 10" and a weight check reveals that he has gained 15 lbs in the last 6 months, currently weighing 210 lbs, yet his children note a considerable loss of strength and physical performance since his fall and subsequent surgery.
