Identify an issue that impacts student learning and success in the educational environment. Include the following:
1. The history/background of the topic and how it relates to school social work practice.
2. What you need to know and how will you recognize this disorder in students. That is, what symptoms/behaviors/signs will the student be exhibiting?
3. How the disorder impact a student's ability to learn and be successful in the educational environment. Make sure to include at least one major theory of child development and trauma informed school practices.
4. Use differential and culturally responsive engagement strategies to develop and maximize the therapeutic alliance with diverse client systems, how do cultural considerations fit in here?
5. Critically evaluate, select, and apply evidence-based strategies/intervention options. Include evidenced based treatment models and methods. Critically analyze, monitor, and evaluate treatment effectiveness and adherence to best practices-answer the question "what works" with this population? Discuss how this intervention promotes social justice and student access to education, *use your critical thought and creativity
6. Describe the process you would use to evaluate if student progress is effective and used to adjust treatment. How would you conduct the evaluation, making use of a broad range of instruments and/or techniques.
