Throughout the semester, we have been learning about information systems and the 5 core elements (hardware, software, data, process and people).

Now that we have studied all 5 of these elements, you will be asked to design an information system.

1. What type of company or organization do you have and what is the purpose and goal of your information system?

2. How did you evaluate that an information system would be helpful to you or your company?

3. What type of hardware will be necessary to run this information system?

4. What type of software will be necessary to obtain the data/information you need for you or your company?

5. What type of data will you use in the system and what information/knowledge are you expecting to generate?

6. What processes (type of operations or applications needed to obtain your information) will you include in this system?

7. What job classifications (people) will be required to create, operate and use your system?

8. How will you evaluate that the information system is providing what you intended it to do?
