Patients are getting lost and confused when they entire the triage area, which is creating a sense of panic among the patients. When patients are registered and receiving their general diagnostic they’re waiting 45 minutes on average for results. Nurses do not have a way to be notified when beds are available for patients. The emergency department has become complex and as a busy department the overall flow is causing problems. Nurses are waiting to give treatment, which is causing patients to also wait for long periods of time. The Physicians and nurses are not consistently documenting when treating the patients that causes labs and test to be overlooked or duplicated. Leadership is struggling to keep consistent teamwork and are not working together to take care of patients in a timely manner.
