Learning outcomes:

For this case study you will be analysing the leadership and management practices of the childcare service you are currently working in (a private childcare's name is Little Zak's). For this case study you will need to:
• Describe the context of the service:
o Examine the governance structure, staffing roles, utilisation and the layout of the setting.
• Analyse the current conceptualisation of leadership in the service:
o Examine the current theories, models and styles of leadership being utilised in the service.
o Critique the management processes of the service e.g. policies and procedures, financial, conflict, change management, continuous improvement, staff recruitment and retention
• Discuss strategies for team building:
o Justify the attributes of a successful early childhood services team.
o Provide examples of how staff in the service demonstrate these attributes in everyday practice in the workplace.
o Justify three (3) processes that effective leaders use to sustain success of the team.
